Spread Your Tiny Wings and Fly Away
« on: June 09, 2018, 13:11:18 »
Driving cross-country from California to Florida with my son, we broke down near Van Horn Texas, and got to spend a couple of days waiting for his car to be repaired. While we were waiting for the repairs to be completed, I got a few shots  with the 12-24mm f/4 on my D500. Here is one. Comments/criticism would be appreciated.

24mm, f/8, 1/200 sec., ISO 100

Ah, so this is where Herbie the VW ended up!  ;D

I find such places sad, but at the same time interesting.

Very bright light.

Those tiny wings appear to light-up at night!

Someone had as much fun dressing-up that Beetle as you had photographing it!

Thought:
Why do dead cars always seem to end up in car-graveyards in the desert?
(I have seen these graveyards in the Namibian Desert too.)
