16mm f/3.5 fish-eye in westbroek park, the hague
« on: May 21, 2018, 20:26:12 »
It has been a long time since I have used one of my favorite lenses the 16/3.5 fish-eye.
I had loads of fun today shooting various flowers which species I am ignorant of :)

well done Jakov. I like the background.

nice perspectives!...

Ditto!

Did you use flash?  The additional light looks effective.

Thank you, Elsid! The sky was special indeed.

Thank you, Bob! You might want to share your perspectives with the 16/3.5 :)

Yes, Akira, I used the pop up flash to fill in some light because i was shooting into the sun.
A dedicated ring flash would have been perfect, but i don't possess one unfortunately...
Thanks :)

Jakov, I would rather like this spotlight effect of a popup flash.

So do I. I take note for the future and wonder if you dig a hole in the floor to get the camera so low?  :)

Visual feast and more reasons to get a copy of my own. Thanks for sharing!

Akira, you have just saved me money by not needing the ring flash :) Thanks!

Dear Paco, thank you so much for your lovely words.
Tee flowers were actually above my head, no need for hole digging :D
I still don't know what species it is :)
Needed to kneel for the 4th image though...
You will enjoy the 16/3.5. Mine had issues too, but Dr Lens came to the rescue, and Bjørn provided a chip for it.
So, thank you Erik and Bjørn for being a part of my life!

My genius John, thank you so much! Nr 3 won the mini contest :)

Jakov, you didn't save my money by making me want a fish!   :o :o :o

Jakov, brilliant (chromatically!). I like them all, probably the third, with the sun-star, best.
Last year I discovered portraits with the 16mm f/3.5 and on-camera flash.  I really like the way the light rolls off around the edges of the frame.  Here is one of our cat.

Very soft and pastel-ish Jakov - I really like the dynamics of the framing :)
