No real surprises in the survey.  All of the picks are the current and recent 'best' of the line from the respective manufacturers, as perceived by self-appointed camera pundits.
A modest amount of research done by a prospective purchaser would turn up much the same conclusions.

 :D  The rankings of course.

But seriously, I AM surprised, because they were talking there about pro cameras used by pros, not about a consumer or prosumer market.
I guess they all realised that X-T1 is a perfect backup camera for any pro outside sports, and if most of them put it as no 2, on aggregate it shot to No1 in the list.

No Olympus there though I know quite some people who love
the fast and small m43 stuff

I used to shoot with Oly's, EM5's and EM1's. They're great little cameras. The EVF and the IQ of the XT1 is wonderful and the Fujinon lenses are all gems. The EM1 does feel a bit more solid than the XT1 and I wish that the XT1 had Oly's amazing IBIS.

I still have a complete FF system and a complete MFT system.

The Olys have a complete set of very fine lenses from oly leica and panasonic.

I once contemplated to buy into the system out of only two reasons

Zuiko 1.8/75mm
Zuiko Pro 2.8/40-150mm

I have the 75mm and the Leica-Panasonic 25mm. MFT are very nice and interesting cameras. I find the APS-C Fuji as a great compromise between the FF IQ and the small size of MFT.

I went to my photo dealer to check out systems.

The Sony is great with a lens like the 1.8/55mm.

But:
1) 35mm and 90mm are huge & heavy although I hear IQ is top notch
2) I still cannot befriend the EVF. This might be due to all the clutter switched on
in the demo cameras in the shop. I like a clean view on my subject with some
nevessary info devently placed. An OVF like EVF so to say.

Typically, you can customize what you see in the EVF. I have everything but the histogram turned on in my EVFs. When I'm shooting, I mentally make them visible or invisible per my needs.

I am very intrigued with the Sony's. But I also fundamentally believe that I need to use my equipment until I harmonize with camera and lenses to a point where the equipment is an extension of my eyes and hands. To a point where adjustments are done in an automatic ... semiconscious fashion. I'm not there yet with my Fuji's and I'm reluctant to add a completely new camera, that would dilute my time behind the Fuji EVF, until I feel that I have harmonized with my existing equipment.

I dunno. I think a survey is taken and each voting member submits their choice(s). Then a summary of all their choices is voted upon by the voting members of the poll. All this poll represent is the opinion of some very savvy photographers and a global view of the cameras they use.

The Df is a niche camera for the purist so would likely not make this 'type' of photographers in large numbers...

The list top reflects what I hear and see pretty well...

Not to be argumentative, but ... (the big but) ... I would say all Fuji X cameras, with their limited lens selection and oddball sensors, retro look and manual controls ... are niche cameras.
