Smokey Mountain Sunrise

Hi all.

Here is a shot from my recent trip to the Smokey Mountains. It was a sunrise. As always any comments, advice or criticism very welcome.

Nice scene, however the burning-in of the sky is a bit overdone. Perhaps cropping off the right side to exclude the sun and the bright sky there would make a better blanace?

wonderful layering and tones in this image. You could crop a little off the top to exclude most of the harsh sun effect if you think it is necessary..

Too me it looks like the contrast was pushed quite a bit, the halo around the dominant tree.

Hi Jim,
I'm a big fan of mountain ranges that recede slowly to the horizon with layer after layer of tones. I've generally seen them during the latter part of the day so wonderful to see a sunrise example.

I'm not qualified to comment on your post-processing, but am really jealous of you and would love to visit this location.
