180/2.8 AIS + PN-11 tulip
« on: April 11, 2018, 23:35:14 »
Today I after work got home and noticed there was mellow overcast sky. Tulip growing on the balcony.
Don't know why I decided to mount the 180/2.8 and PN-11 but I thought I should give it a shot.

Very nice,  ethereal.

I have to scroll down to see the full image on my laptop. The top half (landscape) looks particularly appealing if you intend to reshoot.

How many images did you stack to get it so blurred?  :)

Cheers

Nicely diffused color composition, Jakov!

Is this the sharpest image you can get with PN-11, or did you intentionally make it out of focus?

Dear Bez, thank you so much for your words!
I will revisit the landscape idea, very good.
I used a total of 0.5 stacks for this one :D

Dear Akira, I always make the blurry ones.
First, I start making it in focus, then I deliberately move the focus a bit to make it creamy.
Then, when I review the images on the big screen, well, I get attracted to the blurry ones.
The 180/2.8 AIS is extremely sharp even with an extension ring.
Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your experience, Jakov!  The second image feels as warm and pleasing as the first one.

Jakov

I've always thought your blurry colorful images would make fantastic decorations for upscale boutique hotels, they have this elegant feeling one gets when entering one of this places

Thank you Akira, I feel warm and pleasing at the moment :)

Paco, if it doesn't have a stamp it is not valid, at least that is what they say in Serbia :)

Armando, your words are too kind! I would love to see my photos in a fancy hotel, large!

Frank, I love BEZ too!

Francis, not to believe that we have tulips. I smuggled a few and planted on my balcony :) Thank you!!!

Good to see you back shooting, Jakov.  Lovely !!

A technical question:  What focus distance gives the PN-11 with the 180?

Thanks Ron, I am glad you like the color hit!

Hans, spring has arrived, flowers are blooming, how can I miss it, thanks!

John, it's good to be back. The focus distance drops from 1.8 meters to approximately 0.9m. Still a lot of distance to the subject.

Tomorrow, I will give the 85/1.5 Zenit a go :)
