Cherry Blossom Bonn 2018The streets are filled with camera carrying tourists starting at 5 am, continuing through the night. Some people come flying in from Asia. On most times of the day it is next to impossibly to get through by bike, let alone car.Us, who live here, roll our eyes and know: after two weeks it will be over.
Frank, I did not know it was such an event in Bonn. Washington DC is famous for the 3000 trees that Tokyo donated about 100 years ago, and there were many people viewing them, but since it is such a large area it did not feel crowded when I was there. Of course I was there during the week and not on a weekend.
Jack, this is a very timely and pleasing post. At that time, Washington DC donated dogwood to Tokyo:http://nikongear.net/revival/index.php/topic,7313.0.html

It's already hot in the city
With a FieldOfView of roughly 800mm (full frame equivalence) I captured the attention of a little dog in the dark. Amazing how these animal react!
Thank you, John! The iPhone camera keeps me from buying a 30-mm-ish wideangle lens. The backlit leaves shot in #184 is beautiful!
What lens did you use here, Frank to get to 800mm?
