Hello from France
« on: March 19, 2018, 07:36:44 »
Hello to all members on this forum,
My name is Christian, living in Versailles near Paris. I own 2 Angénieux lenses from 80's 90's, and I am fan. They are Nikon mount and used on a D7100. I love this DSLR.

I am non-professional, just loving practice photography and watching photos from other photographers, for learning and enjoying.

I am looking to acquire a D750 to fit my old lenses. Autofocus will not be a priority... But I have also a nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VR of the first generation and it is just amazing for sport.

Cheers

Christian

Bonjour Christian,

Welcome at Nikon Gear, bienvenue sur ce site de passionnés ! Et merci de mettre Angénieux à l'honneur !
I had a beautiful Angenieux 28-70 in the 90' and sometimes regret it...and a few months a 70-210 that I found good but not overwhelming : my AFD 2,8/80-200 from this old days had better contrats and colors...but the Angenieux was lighter and had a better manual focusing and close-up !

Cordialement, Didier

Hello Didier, thank you for welcome,

Angénieux 70-210 is good but less interesting than 35-70, and obviously not the same image quality as my Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VR I, that I love really (owned since 2003...). However, the weight is not the same, and for some subjects like architecture (in travel) and other items it is good to have the 70-210.
I will post a "comparison" since 70-210 and 70-200.
Bien à toi
Christian
