Glimpses of Paris...
« on: July 12, 2015, 11:29:17 »
Strolling around with the newly AI'sed 135mm f/2.8 Q I was looking for those weird details most pass without even looking :-)

Like this Rip Van Winkle bicycle, one wonders how long it has stayed in the same place for the vines to grow so much...

... Il semble que les Pays-Bas ...

I think the answer is that this bike has been there so long, it must have been there at the time Paris still belonged to The Netherlands (or Pays-Bas for the less French inclined)  8) 8)

Or ... was it vice versa  :o :o

We still tend to call it "Hollande" just as the cheese "Fromage de Hollande" :-) The picture was taken just in front of the "Mosquée" and the Jardin des Plantes... :-)

Down the street from the UPMC. (I did some work there back in the '90's.)

No big deal, just some tweaking between LR and OnOne... Nothing being perfect, it evolves through time and sometimes can be a hit and miss...!!!

Ah, I would prefer a Café's terrace, with a glass of wine, with friends :-)

One of our oldest library, the "Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève", has the "menu" written on it's walls, many great authors from all over the antique world... :-)

As we have a peculiar photo gallery on the fences of the Luxembourg garden (in fact a private garden for our Senators that is also open to the Parisians). Several themas or authors are shown several times a year, those pictures are lighted at night and attracts quite a lot of people... :-)
