A new trend is to stick some photographs with frame on the walls... Small size but often quite interesting :-)

Of course, Paris being culturally a city for artists, even our one way signs can be interpreted... :-)

When it comes to "elegance", the white "traction avant" from Citroën is surely one of the best... :-)

The scaled down prototype... :-) We've got two of them, the smaller one (this one) in the garden of Luxembourg and the bigger one at the end of the Cygnus island in the Seine river (île aux cygnes)... !

I didn't know about this one. All of America are thankful for the French gift of Liberty.

Quand on a vécu à Paris, même pour une brève période, on s'en souvient pour toujours (comme le proverbe chinois :-) )! Il faut y revenir, l'été, pour ensuite aller au Festival d'Arles exposer vos photos... :-)

And we have several half size détails, too ! Yes, "Lafayette nous voila !", we are thankful also for the lives given in June 44 !

Nation states are a crude construction. I do not know if they brought more war or peace. Certainly they are an emotional thing.

The gift of this signature piece of art was a bright moment in the friendship between France and the USA obviously and the statue fits very well the in the spot beneath the tree.

When I see the lady liberty, I always hear this wonderful song in my mind by the great performance artist Laurie Anderson (in her concert a few days after 9/11):

You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

Being maybe a wee bit older, I'll stick with the "We shall overcome" version of Joan Baez... :-)

Thank you Jacques. Even today, the cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, is one of the best maintained cemeteries in the world.

Been there with the D3x, must get those pics from the hard disk storage, sometimes technology is just as those old shoeboxes full of discarded prints... :-)

Cool series!
I'm liking the bicycle with vines a lot.
And I'm fascinated that framed fotos are being posted randomly on walls. Fotograffiti?

Something like that ! It's what seems as a new trend (at least in my arrondissement/district), sometimes there's a link for a site but most times not. Often those are voyage pictures (Cuba, Asia, Africa), no names, sometimes it's a print behind a glass and frame, sometimes a sort of plastified print... Quite interesting in fact, as if Flickr and al were not anymore worthy of the real Mc Coy... :-)
