The heavy snow caused a lot of fuss and trouble here in Tokyo today, but not everything is that bad...

I like the calm when snow is falling and there is little to no wind

That is a fair amount of snow

Yes, it snowed "heavily" for Tokyo, which is too much of the exaggeration for me born and raised in Sapporo.  But after it had stopped snowing, I'm enjoying the calmness.

I know what you mean.  There is something so soothing during and just after a big snow.  No one is out....no cars, no nothing.  Almost spooky or eerie in its silence...yet somehow comforting in a way.  Probably one of the few reasons I really love winter.

Those pictures brought back some childhood memories.  Thank you for sharing them.

Akira, there is a lot going on the the first image. Calm overall moment with many ingredients. I have spend a long time wondering the stories within.

I have to get myself to Japan...

Andrew, you said it all.  I'm from Sapporo, a Northern city with a lot of snow in the winter.  Thank you for commenting.

Glad the image inspired you.  Hope Japan would stay worth visiting...

Thank you, Jakov.  Indeed the silence is not the nothingness but something to feel.
