I believe it's an Echeveria Agavoides variant with yellow flowers - a resilient little succulent plant that thrives in my mostly desert like window sill environment, and even sets a really nice stem with many flowers.

Could this be a species of Allium (Garlic). If that's the case, rub the stem and smell it.

That's right, Birna. It's an inflorescence of the black-flowered garlic (Allium melananthum). I found it on the internet. When I see my shepherd neighbor, I'll ask him about its medicinal uses.
