Cold spell
« on: December 11, 2017, 11:13:08 »
Here in Killin we are having a few days with low temperatures - not above freezing during the day, and -6 to -10c at night. But we have very little snow.  Circumstances keep me at home just now, so these are all shot close to Killin.

1. Canada geese, Loch Tay
2. Loch Tay sunset
3. Sunrise pano (3-frame stitch), Tarmachan Hills
4. Ben Ghlas in heavy snow a few days ago
5. Frost-smoke rising from the River Lochay
6. The last of the autumn leaves
7. Loch Tay

If we reach +10, nfoto has to pay me ten thousand dollars - isn't that how it works?   8) 8) 8) 8) 8) ;D

Thank you David for keeping us posted on what winter looks like where you are.  If I did the same at my location, it'd be slightly depressing.

I really like #7. The combination of the warm gold reflection covering most of the frame, the cool blue in the bottom right corner, and the downright cold blue frost in a band on the grass is very striking. I think it would be a nice photo without the frost, but with it it is special. Nice landscape detail!
