Thanks for all the replies. Great captures ArendV. I am going to take a chance on a 32mm. I can acquire one for 68 cents on the dollar with a year warranty. I am less concerned about the state of the 1 series which to this point looks bleak. I am no pro and do not make a living with my camera. I generally print small and would not likely take much more than 2-3,000 pictures per year. It will probably outlast my ability to learn and get really good so why not have good glass while on the journey. In addition, if the camera dies, I think there will be enough replacements on the used market for some time. One camera and three lenses is enough for me for now.
