Love your planet. The better thing is with the circular fisheye - its not as stretched out as with my planets. Wish I had that lens in my bag

Elsa, I am sorry Nikon doesn't have a new version of the circular fish-eye, but I am very satisfied with the 8mm Sigma, and it's not very expensive.

This time around I used the most modern and latest micro nikkor - 60mm AF-S F/2.8.
And guess what, I simply cannot get a sharp image...

Joking aside, it's a wonderful lens!

jakov - it goes for about $1000 here. thats not cheap

and do you have any lenses that take in focus photos?  :P :P :P :P

Elsa, all my lenses are very sharp, it's just that I don't know how to use them properly  :'(
The 60/2.8 micro nikkor is one the sharpest out there...

Easy done with an AF lens. Push AF-ON so image appears sharp in finder, then twist focus ring on lens so the image goes just off focus again. Stop at the point where the effect is pleasant to the eye.

With a manual-focus lens or a lens without any focusing assistance, move back and forth until satisfied.

That last image has started my morning out right. I'll be thinking about it all day and wishing I had taken it. I'm off for a second cup of coffee ... then I'll come back and again and continue looking at that image.

I must admit that I am really impressed with the AF-S 60 mm f/2.8 micro nikkor.
It is becoming my favorite walk around lens. I am not saying that I am abandoning my beloved 85/1.4 but the 60/2.8 is more versatile thanks to the micro capabilities. It's super sharp, great bokeh, light-weight, and just does what you want it to do. It's a real bargain too. Cheaper than any lens that I might wish to possess.

So here are some acidly colorful ones (no i am not stoned, yet) and an early evening image from the light-weight and versatile 60/2.8.

Jakov these are super nice! And yes the Micro Nikkor 60mm AFS is a universal lens and you master it well! Love the light in thes images...

It is so nice to be able to get closer!

The old 55mm Micro Nikkor was back then a very similar tool... ;)

180mm would have made the drone more dominant in the image, I would like that.. Hint hint..
