Cres, Croatia, 2015
« on: July 09, 2015, 13:42:03 »
Every year I take my family to Cres for about 3 weeks. I practically grew up here. When I was small ages ago, my grandmother took me here to her little house to enjoy the summer on the seaside. It is here that I started swimming and diving. It is here that I fell in love for the first time, had my first glass of wine, had my first kiss, had my... you get my drift...
Since my kids are growing up in Amsterdam and not in Belgrade, this is a way for them to experience a bit of my childhood.
Today is not a day for the beach, bura is blowing hard, so we had no choice but to play basketball.
These are ordinary snapshots that I usually share with my family and friends on Facebook, but I was thinking, my family and friends are also here at NikonGear, so why not bore them too  :-\
I'll try to make some more interesting photos to show off, I promise  ::)

Nice, are you practicing for our next match in the Montenegrin mountains?

I love the B&W/sepia image in a lot of ways. (Watch your horizons in the color photos.)

Thanks Gary, that was such a surreal experience I simply had to capture it.

We stumbled on this amazing spot while driving around in the mountains of Montenegro last year during our annual photo trip, while fooling around with our cameras a boy with a basketball appeared from the only mountain hut in the area looking for some playmates to shoot hoops with, so cool.
Cheers,
Jan Anne

Now that we are on the topic of basketball in Montenegro, I couldn't resist but post one of my favorites :)

As I said, I have been coming to Cres ever since I was born.
However, this is the first time I brought along my Sachtler tripod that I tried out last night.
Note, the first one was not made using a tripod but my slipper :)

Hope you like them.

Jan Anne and I have many common interests so no wonder we look alike to many.
The main similarity is the fondness for trinitron TVs :)

Today I mounted my beloved Heligon Rodenstock 100/1.6 on the panda. I purposely didn't do it for some time, afraid of becoming overly addicted to it :)
It goes without saying how much I like this combination, and how much fun I have shooting and processing the images!

While i like most of you images, the 2nd one in this last set is outstanding. I like it very, very much!

I also think you're starting to show some Bjørn-esque style, especially the last one.

Great stuff.
