Too much Viveza 2 (Nik Collection)

The high contrast and increased saturation bring out the construction, textures and colourful yarns in the hat.

The hat is better-positioned in the first shot; and the background is better in the second one; so this is a prime candidate  for some layer masking and background replacement!

The major difference is that the woolen cap is in focus in the first and the skin is in focus in the second. Result is that the skin receives a coarseness in PP that looks like film grain to my eyes.

It really isn't!

And you might have a lot of fun discovering what you can do with Layers and Layer-Masks.

 

Meanwhile some simple Spot-removal might help to get rid of the worst of the distracting blobs in the background area of the first image.

That's because of the excess of Viveza 2 effect. Actually the bokeh was quite creamy.

I was very much attracted by the rendition of the hat and forgot about the bokeh in the first.
