Nikkor 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E is so much fun
« on: November 10, 2017, 03:42:32 »
Got the lens today and had a great time testing it in Manhattan.

The bad thing is the thick blue halo around the circular images @ 8mm. I had to remove it in the pp and it was not fun.

Thank you for looking.

Who is going to be the first to do a fishy zoom shot?

Dave Hartman who would if he could!

Yes a fishy zoom and pan ;)

Blue rim is by design, sadly,,,

Get closer is the recommended Bjørn trick for using Fisheyes and UWA with an impact,,,  8)

I love the blue Passepartout but tend to use the lens as a sperical correction 15mm alternating with the 20mm rectangular correction.

I got it on 8 July 17 and it is a keeper

When needed apply circular crop for blue edge removal.

That's exactly what I do but I'm not used to spend much time in pp like this.

Off course, you can also use the Blue Rim Remover, the lens comes with ;D

(But I do not like it, there are still some few blue edges 8))

I hope Adobe include this correction in their camera raw.

You can't use the hood @ 8mm.

Well, actually you can. It's just that the results are a bit strange.  ;D

Stop complaining already. Some of us can't afford a circular fish.  :)  ;)  :D

Now who is going to zoom while shooting and post a photograph? It's time to get down and get with it!

Dave who's latest fish story goes back to 1969 excepting a 16/2.8 AIS which isn't the kind that swims in the Pacific (he hopes).

Oops! This one needed smileys.

It won't be me, sorry!
I don't carry a tripod.
