Jakov, thanks for "like it" on FB and kind comments here! I was shooting from the pedestrian bridge crossing above this street, so I could observe a car approaching from behind. But, yes, it is not easy to nail the timing. This image is the most successful one in tens of missed or boring shots.

John, thanks for jumping in. Glad you like it! When I saw pictures shot by Otto Steinart years ago, I was also intrigued by the idea of combining blurry image in the still environment. The sophisticated image stabilization systems of the modern lenses and/or cameras enable and encourage me to lower the shutter speed, which is essential to this kind of image making, and that hand-held!
