Cool, I used to love playing with fireworks as a kid.

We were only allowed to use it at new years eve though but the fun started weeks before when the firework folders dropped on the doormat, I could spend countless hours figuring out how to get the biggest bang for the buck, pun intended ;)

New Year's eve and the Fourth of July(Independence Day) are the two big American fireworks occasions.
And yes, kids(and adults with children's brains) everywhere find the presence of fireworks too tempting to wait, so here the crackling and popping, heard usually in the evening, start about two weeks before both actual holidays.

There is a lot to say about kids and fireworks in the street. Mom and Dad sitting in the driveway supervising the youngsters ... a few flags, a few beers and a warm night. Memories ...
