Stitched!
« on: October 06, 2017, 11:40:56 »
I noticed last night that two images from my recent trip up north would stitch very easily, tho' they were not shot with the intention to stitch.

Sgurr Tuath, left, with Loch Lurgainn and Stac Pollaidh.

Nice "pano"!

I have some of those as well, unintentionally stitched. I have a nice aluminum print from 2 D2h shots from New York (from top of Empire State bldg.).

The stitch seems to depict the moody climate of Scotland nicely in one frame: dull color under cloudy condition vs. brilliant color under the sunshine.

David, you might be inclined to stitch more in the future. What a fantastic result!

Many thanks for posting, Akira, Hans and Jakov.

Yes - you are right - I used to do quite  few "joiners" but I've got out of the habit recently. I'm pleased that you like this one, btw.

The stitch seems to depict the moody climate of Scotland nicely in one frame: dull color under cloudy condition vs. brilliant color under the sunshine.

We had everything that day - heavy rain, strong winds, very low clouds, mist and fog - and some brief intervals of beautiful sunshine. The good thing about this is that you don't need to worry if it's cloudy or raining, because it will most probably be sunny with a few minutes. This is exactly how it was when I shot the two images that I stitched.

That was an amazing moment with the cloud formation complimenting the ware and the patch of blue sky with the sun shinning on the hill to the right.

Spectacular, Thank You for sharing!

That is a wonderful atmospheric shot, stitched or not.

Thank you, David and Frank. The two individual shots look quite good unstitched, but the stitch is much more powerful.
