Red and green
« on: September 28, 2017, 22:38:36 »
I managed to find some time before and after work to take some pictures.
All taken on my street less than 100 m away from home.

Sweet series. All good except the last one, imho; it dwells too obviously on the blackening of the leaves, for my taste.

I see some yellow, too :) Which means a perfect combination!

Thank you for the comment, David. Honest, as usual.
I did wonder whether to include the last one. What attracted me was the side lighting on the "ribs", but clearly it wasn't a good shot and I should have listened to the inner critic.
It was a difficult shot, leaf overhead, wavering in the wind, and manual focus at the minimum distance with the AIS 200 micro.

Thanks Jakov, is yellow your favourite colour?

It's the combination of the three colours ;)

Actually I like the last one as much or more than the earlier ones.
Unlike them it has depth and texture, regardless of the colours or black areas, so works for me too.

Thank you Colin.
That goes to show again - if there ever was any need to reassert it - that taste and preference are not absolute or unique, but subjective.
After your comment I am happier having included the last image, which is definitely different from the rest of the series.
