The horizon isn't strait! :)

There appears to be a bit of subject movement in the left wing (viewer's right) which I find surprising since the EXIF indicates a shutter speed of 1/2,000th.

Amazing capture!  You are doing justice to the potentiality of D7000, too.

Thank you, Akira. Coming from you, I feel that is high praise, and perhaps I am making some progress in learning to edit.

I wish I had the skill, time and equipment to do birds in flight or even birds sitting in a tree photography. I'm a bit jealous and it's true I am a fool.

Dave – I'm not sure if it's this particular bird is a stork, but supposedly, it is storks that deliver babies, although my wife's obstetrician might disagree. Perhaps the reason you're not a good bird photographer is that you don't  have many birds to photograph. In order to get good at it you need to be in a target rich environment. If you would like to come to Florida next April, I will take you to a place where there are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of birds available to photograph. In that environment it won't take you long to get very good at it indeed. If that doesn't work for you, I understand there is a national wildlife refuge in New Mexico that is teeming with birds at certain times of the year. Perhaps you could try that. You might also try planting plants hummingbirds like  around your house or in a public garden. If you can get good at shooting hummingbirds, the big birds I shoot would be a cinch for you.
