Hello, I would appreciate some feedback on this shot of an Orchid, shot at 1/4 sec, f/16, ISO 125, thank you

A Moth Orchid (Phalaenopsis). They make for nice and colourful subjects. The depth of the flower can pose some issues regarding the depth of field attainable and where to place the main focus.You might experiment with the lens at a much wider aperture and some frames with the focus plane shifted to achieve a focus stacking. A tripod is required of course.

Or you could use a wider aperture and pinpoint one area/plane to be sharp and smooth out the rest.
Now the out of focus parts are distracting to me.

Hi, I would agree with both of the previous posters.  In addition, I would change the viewing angle to make the three-dimensional character of orchid more obvious.  If you shoot it straight from the front, every characteristic parts of orchid are superimposed, which may give the viewer an impression of a flat flower.
