The tree structure is well rendered - the variegated colours, however, might require an acquired taste ...
I appreciate that you are experimenting with the technique to find your own signature. That's good.

i thought it a nice surprise the pastel like "variegation" as you call it
it being an evening shot the iso was relatively high 800 for this work,
so no smoothness

All evening shots with the very high day temps of 35 +, fortunately we had some rain late last night,
no choice but the night for taking pictures, but higher iso is problematic for ir photography
it seems,
none-the-less a few more
