Shy - common loon chick hiding behind dad

This pair was taken last week.  The chick was a bit shy that morning, so peered around dad to be sure it was safe.  The chick is about 5 weeks old at this point, and starting to lose his fuzzy covering and to develop the juvi plumage.  Those ugly early teen years!
