Akira, I would need to go back and search my Bookmarks on other sites (and emails) but some reliable Intel was showing Nikon really working on a better Mirrorless some years back. I think one of the problems they are having is that the technology is just moving so fast so they may be having to rethink almost constantly. From what is being said now, they could be trying to get ahead of the curve. The real question, reading between the lines, is this directed for the new generation of Professional Photographers who use everything from GoPro to Smartphones, to Sony/Fuji/m43, to Canon/ Nikon/Pentax, or to those who shoot for High End Glossy Covers and print large (and those of us who just enjoy Photography as we know it) ? Social Media is having huge impact on photography.
I've not had a publisher ask for High Def image, for a Glossy Mag, for over two years. Newspaper requirements are not very high ( and they do not pay much
) " I normally just give them images of things I'm interested in. Easier than doing paperwork to get paid a pittance
. I still sell to some NGO's (mostly Environmental) and at least they pay a bit better.
I would guess at something sooner than later .
