Growing Like a weed - Common Loon chick back riding

This common loon chick is three days old in this image, and has already grown a lot. Getting harder for both chicks to ride at the same time.

D500  500mm AFS  f/7.1, ISO 200, 1/320s

I am not sure about the crop.

Lovely!  I really enjoy the horizontal crop.  The homogeneous and complimentary colors combined with the mother/child is very peaceful and pleasant.

I also like the long horizontal crop but maybe would prefer a little more head room vs space at the bottom.

Thanks everyone for your input.  I do have some room above.  I experiment with different crops so that I don't get stuck in ruts quite as often.  Sometimes it is an improvement, sometimes not, obviously.  :(

I will revisit this one.
