I was walking on trail toward the tip of a promontory when I heard a swoosh sound over my head.
As I happened to have the telezoom on I just turned the camera on and upward and grabbed a few quick shots.
I realised they were flamingos only when I reviewed the shots!

You have some very nice things here, Simone - I like the beach/dusk panos, but the lookout tower and the flamingos are the obvious crowd-pleasers in the series - they certainly please me. Very romantic images, and nowt wrong with that.

Unfortunately the holiday is coming to an end; we are driving back to the airport tomorrow morning at 6:30.
One further full day in Pisa with my parents and then that's us done holidaying this summer

I may post a night shot later if the post-processing comes out OK, but that has to wait until I am home because this computer hasn't got enough power.
