i almost got a good reflection with this one.. but it was too soft so i cloned it out  :)

That's amazing, even considering the shutter speed!

The pose of the bird is nice in the second image, but it could be awkward without the reflection.  It might be better to trim the image at the water-level rather than cloning out only the reflection of the bird?

but then you wouldn't see my photoshop job getting it out of there.  ;D

i agree.. probably best to consider another crop.

excellent high key images.  Wish there was a little more separation of the bill from the back in the 'real' bird in the first image.  The reflection  actually looks better because of it.

That is a big rig to hand hold.  I can do the 500 that way, but find I am only good for a very short time with the 600 hand held.
