ZUMA must fall
« on: April 07, 2017, 14:15:50 »
I assume most of you have heard of the "person" which some call the president of South Africa. To say he is unpopular - is a bit of an understatement.

Today South Africa stood together in protest as never seen before in the history of this country. All races held hands and joined in protest as well as human chains all over the country. It was something to see - and something I was particularly proud of.

The image of the boys is particularly powerful

I hope the protests stay peaceful as they seem in this series

Thank you Armando. The human chain protests were extremely peaceful and joyful even - people seriously stood together to denounce the "man"
There are also huge protests underway to Parlement - hope that stays peaceful too.

Agreed;  likewise the following image of the hands joined together.

All in all, a great set of images Elsa.

I just hope that SA can get this matter sorted out peacefully.

Thanks Hugh. As far as I am concerned they should necklace the bastard.

(that's bush justice in SA - put a tyre around his neck and set it alight - hence the necklace)

Let us see more images and less political reflections, please.

It's not a political reflection. Its an opinion about a corrupt man - not the party he is the leader of. In fact the protest was a united protest by South Africans from his own party as well as those of other political parties. I have in no way criticised the ruling party or favoured any other party.
The images reflect what people are thinking about the man - not the party. Not a single image I took today reflected on the ruling party. NOT. A. SINGLE.ONE.

You are making it a political statement and your wording is not acceptable when you say "which some call the president of South Africa"
He is the President.

"All races held hands...."
It is not all races, it is all South Africa Citizens. Race is not a factor.

Demonstrations can provide some great images, as here.

It is better that we all concentrate on the photographic aspects, not on the underlying issues.

SOUTH AFRICA is known as the rainbow nation. We stand together like probably no other nation when the pawpaw hits the fan.
