In my opinion, there is no word "Bokeh", when we are speaking about wide-ultrawide slow lens. Out of critical sharpness zone, that's all. If we want to get smooth OOF zone, we need f/2.0-1.4 wide lens. While 16-35 Nikkor is among the best lenses ever, I, personally, never get anything from it with smooth OOF background, what we used to call "Bokeh". It was not created for it. It is based on my great experience with this miracle lens, but one's opinion may vary, of course. THX! LZ
