Whilst nothing is forever, this image is a grim reminder that sometimes it is better to overhaul a properly engineered Swiss or Scandinavian made sewing machine than it is to buy a new alternative emanating from goodness knows where - even if the cheaper newer option comes with the same brand name.

My wife's 60 year old Bernina still runs sweetly even after a busy lifetime of serious sewing (plus of course regular maintenance and servicing / CLA-ing).

I spend a way longer than expected time looking at this combination in a rented house in Seville. Next day I found it again, got to the camera bag and shoot it. I love everyday serendipity.

This artist from La Línea makes his sculptures out of pieces of metal found in garbage and junk yards. His name is "Víctor Quintanilla" and is constructing a museum by himself in town. Very special men
