Mongo loves the idea of this image. It is (as has been said) refreshingly different in its perspective and Mongo also thinks, deliberately rich and indulgent - like eating velvet ice cream. So, Mongo indeed likes the saturation and the “in your face” (but refined) detail. The image is captivating and a delight to see something so interestingly different.
Have to say, however, the crop is such that it takes a little away from this otherwise wonderful image. For example, the green triangle on bottom right and the slightly shortened hight of the image. Mongo thinks the image was shorted because the light at the top was probably becoming too strong to go with the deep, rich theme of this image. Perhaps if re-shot in circumstances where the top light was subdued, the crop could allow for a little extra length. In saying this, Mongo is not suggesting the crop go to the top of the flower - just am amount higher than it is at present should do.
Just Mongo’s 2 cent’s worth but quite like this work.
