It was a cloudy day but suddenly the sun came for a very short time. It was not cold, but winter is coming back...

This is the bridge over the river 'Oude Leij' facing southwards to the Belgium Border.  The 'Regte Heide' is on the left (Eastern) side.

I saw the light today, but I had no camera on me. So I could only continue to say and repeat to say: "Look! At! That! Light!" and my daughter just said: "Paps, you said that already."

Frankly I have not seen such a light in my entire life. It was all the best lenses in the world require for the best pictures possible. All highs and lows, all detail rendening, no dust after the rain, revealing light!

Beautiful details, Fons.

A few days ago we had a very special sunrise. Light blue combined with darker clouds...  Something similar we had this morning.

Superb shot, Fons. Spring returns? Is it a bit early?

I expected more fine details from the 1.4/58 Neo-Noct @f/1.4, but I see that I have to accept some halos to extract stuctures shouting "details" in the small version. When I am done with the purple fringing, not a lot of finde structures remain. Closing the aperture means less defringing and more fine structures at f/2.2 for example

Today I took some serious portraits (not shown here) with the 1.4/58G at f/1.4. Then I saw that there seems to be a misalignment between focus point and point of focus on the D500 and esp. in the near field, so I will have to calibrate...

We stopped at Grave for an errand, a small fortified town on the river Maas.

Fons, I like the way the trees of different characters line up.  The almost monochrome tone is nice, too.
