Ron,

That is a truly remarkable image. It shows me that some paintings I liked were actual landscapes. That ship is amazing.

To me, what makes this image intriguing is the combination of traditional Chinese-style landscape commonly seen in scroll paints and the modern ships.  Really nice!  I also like the beautiful gradation of the mountains that gives a perspective depth to the image.

Akira put it much better than Mongo did. So, +1 for Akira's comments.

Great image Ron and captured at a great time of day.  It is a very pleasant reminder for me of the day that I spent at Ha Long Bay.

The huge broad, and yet relatively thin, shards of rock that come up out of the water are quite unlike any other rock feature that I have seen.

I recommend Ha Long Bay to all travellers.

If this doesn't express serentity I don't know what does.
I like how you timed the position of the masts with the two rock formations behind.
The ship comes across like a mix of The Pearl and a modern cruise ship (which contradicts my former serenity remark) :)

Thank you everyone.  It was one big hazy mess over there.  I was on that ship for 2 days.  The rooms were huge.  It has masts, but is not capable of sailing.
