Backlit goose
« on: January 17, 2017, 02:47:03 »
This fellow was imaged yesterday at the local bird sanctuary.  I was shooting with the Sigma 150-600 Sport,  handheld, and was able to swing around and catch this bird while backlit, which I felt added a nice lighting effect. The underwing lighting came courtesy of reflection off the ice.   My friends, who are very accomplished nature photographers, were all using their rigs on their tripods, which limited their flexibility.  It is true however, by the end of the morning, my arm and shoulder were getting a wee bit fatigued from holding my rig for so long!

Advice and comments always appreciated.

Cheers

Randy
