A view to the easier periods of the year. For now it is time to bring more logs for the fire.

It is about 14c and sunny now outside, where I live. We have a harsh winter this year in Greece, but I cannot compare it with the winters in the North. The two shots above were taken at the beginning of last Spring. Fig trees.

Down here in my neighbourhood, around Oslo, there has been a remarkable dearth of snow so far. Still, the possibility of receiving massive snow fall in February and March is significant and has happened many times before.

However, for now, only hoar frost is there to remind the calendar indicates 'deep winter'.

(D500, Nikkor-O 35 mm f/2: susceptibility to flare is not always a drawback ...)

Hard to dream of anything but a dip in a semi frozen lake when the local current temperature is 38 degrees celsius. Its all relative it seems.
