[Theme] shadows and light

I was looking for a theme thread about shadows but couldn't find one. So I thought, why not start one? I'll go first with a somewhat weird dark portrait that - for some strange reason - I quite like a lot. Looking forward to your contributions!

Since photography is all about shadow and light I feel the urge to contribute with a picture from this afternoon. Coming out from the store I couldnt resist this scene.

Winter, low sun, longer shadows.  Nice for a walk...

Very true, John, now's the time for long shadows.

But short shadows can also be interesting!
