PB-4 electrified

Done with Kenko rings. They are not perfect but enough for this try... and must say successful final result.
When I coupled all, realized that the 60mm micro AFS didn't work at all... bear in mind that electrical signal must flow through lens mount, some sort as "earth" line. Strange enough as the 105mm micro didn't need it.
I had to disassemble everything and made another contact through the mounting bases.

Don't dislike the final result, even if the rings would be better if smaller.

Very nice idea  and the remaining extra conducts for other project
Recently i dis-malt for repair an 35 1.8 DX  and i notice another contact that goes to the metal  F mount of the lens, its good to know that without this conduct nothing is working

How flimsy/flexible are the plastic Kenko body tubes and are their metal bayonets and lens mounts a good fit?

The Kenko metal parts are ok, and provide a good fit.
Flexibility is due to weaker spring holder system and plastic body.
The Kenko normally comes with three rings (12, 20 and 36mm).
Smallest is ok, the medium ok-, and the longer is bad.
Stacked? Forget it.

Only really usable if used with light lenses.

I have looked at that possibility too. But the way Kenko electrical parts are done and attached are not easy adapted to Nikon extension rings. Extensive lathe work has to be done, but I have not yet rest this case, thought.

Even though it might be more expensive in cash, it is by far much 'cheaper' in man-hours to just remove the glass form for instance a TC-E14, 17 or 20
