Third one is striking. I am not surprized to see that John and Rick share the same feeling.
From the second series, #2 is also very nice "street photography".

To me, the B&W images tend to look nicer in this thread, and I agree that the third one in the first series stands out.

I wonder what the last one in the first series actually is?  I faintly feel that the image could be familiar to me.

Although the scene is identified, I would suspect what Fons captured could be a tableaux of the super-realism or of a Warhol style.

The screenshot is from Fritz Lang 'Metropolis', some images from Brussels' central station, some from museums Bozar, and 'Paleis der Schone Kunsten'.
One of the guys in image 1 came chasing for drinking money (pourboire).
