Snow Romp #2
« on: December 18, 2016, 22:14:44 »
This is my 4 year old dog, Camira, loving the snow.  I posted a previous image in the 'Life' forum.

It was really cold, and she was struggling a bit with 'ice paws', but once I cleaned them out, she would blast off again.

D500 70-200VR1.

Cheers

Randy

One can get cute small "shoes" for the dogs to allow them to tackle snow conditions better ....

Thanks to the colourful ribbons, she won't be lost in the snow !!

Bjorn:

Thanks for the comment.  I have never been able to get any of my dogs to wear booties.  Haven't tried with Camira yet, however.

Cheers

I like the one even better. Better separation  better definition. More lively expressen.

Is the bg less even? Even that I like.

That is a lovely picture Randy. Camira once again looks so happy, and in this one very cute, showing some real vulnerability.
Sorry, I missed you message until today, a month later.

We, my wife and I never went out looking for a dog. Angel just arrived on our doorstep at ten o'clock one night about four or so years ago. We heard a noise in the back porch and looked and found her. She was hiding behind a bag of firewood and was very scared and pretty shaken up. She was only two months old at the time, just old enough to leave her mother. I still haven't solved the mystery of where she came from but I would say that she had been dumped. She stuck to me like glue then, always wanting to be on my lap or wanting me to cuddle her and still pretty much does now but in an adult way now and with a little more distance at times. Maybe love at first sniff?

For the first few months I carried a pocket digital camera around with me all of the time to photograph her as she grew, I took a few thousand photos. Here is a photograph of Angel from that pocket camera. It is of her at two months old wanting to get up onto my lap while I am sitting on a tree stump in my backyard. We had had her for almost two days when this photo was taken, you can see the vulnerability and insecurity in her eyes. This photo could be taken by one of the crappiest cameras to show its image on this Nikon Gear site? Sorry for that.

Both pictures are endearing.

I am sure that these two have brought much love and companionship to their human families.
