In the Woods

Hi,

Recently joined up to NikonGear after returning to Nikon after a few years away with Fuji & Sony. Am enjoying my D500 very much. Here's a recent shot of my daughter in the nearby woods.

Thanks Bjorn. Yea, I tend to be going through a bit of a low contrast phase at the moment. Not to everyone's taste and it doesn't suit a lot of photos but I quite like it with images like this as it gives a bit of a dreamy feel I find.

Nothing wrong with imparting a special mood by means of contrast  However, it is unusually seen these days and actually eerily reminds of underexposed colour negatives printed to "save" the picture. Hence my curiosity.

That's interesting Bjorn. Don't think i came across that technique back in my film days.

Yes, adding contrast just to the child might give her some more 'pop' in the shot. I'll give it a go.

Looks like early film material from the 1970ies to 1980ies, Kodak Ektachrome blueish tint ... great expression of the child's face ... tells a story
