Autumn Color at a distance
« on: November 18, 2016, 16:49:19 »
First shot is of the very top of Aspen sapling with a Spruce tree as a background.  Taken with a 105 F/2.5 Ai.  The background blue sky is peaking through the Spruce.  The second is a Canyon Maple taken with 300mm F4 AFS.  Yes the leaves were pink.

Comments.

Lovely balance of subjects and backgrounds.  Color makes a statement on #2 as well.

Thanks Airy,  This tree sits next by a stream in a ravine, so it is shot looking down.  The tree was full of leaves of many shades of red/orange to pink with lots of small branches.  This species of Maple often is really a bush.  I was looking at all of these leaves and suddenly spotted this branch.  Had to go home and retrieve the 300mm lens.  I knew when I was setting up to take this image, that I was going to like it, if only I could wait for the wind to subside.  Thanks

Thanks Keith.  I was really careful with the colors here.  They were indeed really pink.
