Mike, I was an Engineer on a Fram 1 Destroyer...didn't know what clean was even though the Chief Engineer really tried to motivate the CPOs to keep the Engine Room spic and spam. Forget the Boiler Room
Of course not Diesel but I spent the minimum time I could on Diesel boats (Subs) which were not much better, a lot to be said for the Nuke boats
