Thank you Børge - yes - she inherited it from her father - who has one "affected" eye.
Her sight is fine fortunately

Good to know she is not affected from this, I have never seen this before! My oldest son has huge pupils although they are both round.

Anyway very nice shot, very straight on,,, of a cute special girl

You will notice she is wearing hearing aids as well - as she is deaf. But talks the hind legg of several donkeys.

You have children??? oh my - I thought you were 21 and I didn't think you were old enough to have kids :)

Gorgeous child.  The surprised/interested expression is lovely and very well captured.  I would remove the liquid from the chin and maybe the cheek. 

This is an interesting example of how different viewers see different things in a photograph.  Most people will just see a beautiful child, but the combination of coloboma plus deafness plus an affected father rings alarm bells.  So to me this is a sad image, of a beautiful child with a doubtful future.
