Thank you, Jakov, Erik, Simone, David and Mike. It's nice to get your approval for what is a set of very quiet pictures - I like the early, quiet part of autumn, when the fireworks are still to come.
Mike and David - it's a case of "the king is dead, long live the king" - what you are looking at is two plants; a wild rose-bush (with the red rose-hips) growing up through the skeleton of a dead thorn-bush, most likely hawthorn. It probably died because the ground was too wet.
