Perfect illustration of the Coriolis force ... You really live "down under", at my place the rotation is in the opposite direction.

Bjørn, thats a very specific point -and fast seen and thought- but Frank has a point. Only unaffected by other forces can show the effects. Still impressive and scary image. Excellent choice of shutter speed and surreal image, it has a "movies special effect" flavor to it. Nice catch!

I prefer to speak about the Coriolis Effect rather than "force". Nice picture by the way...👍
