a beautifully prepared set of images. Great mono treatment.

the first three are very poignant. #5 has a very dramatic sky but unfortunately looks a little lost in the overall business of all the shapes in the image. #7 is Mongo's favourite - amongst other things, it is balanced, well defined and well framed.

Great work as always.

Just wonderful and a testament to why we still do B&W images.

Thank you for the feedback Mongo.
#5 was all about the strange effect I got with the sky and the pattern on the ground. I agree it is quite confusing.

Should be emotional.  Thanks for sharing.

Along with the Atomic Bomb Dome as Peace Memorial, #4 is an equally emotional capture.  The Chinese letters on the stone to the right bottom corner tells that it is a small monument commemorating the students who were impressed by the government at war and fell victim of the atomic attack.  The monument and the school girls in the middle thus makes an fitting contrast between the peace and the war.

#5 looks interesting with the nice correspondence of the pattern of the clouds, the design of the fountain sculpture and the tiles on the ground.

Thank you Akira.
Very nice to know about the involuntary connection I got in #4.
Again, I'm really in love with your country.

You are welcome and thank YOU for saying that.  Your "hunch" as photographer shines here!

My pick is #5 because it looks like the clouds and ground are mirrored :)
