Eindhoven Airport
« on: September 24, 2016, 19:40:48 »
What possesses a person to go to Eindhoven Airport?
Moreover, what possesses a person, in the shape of me, to make double exposure 10.5DX fish-eye images :)

I once had the pleasure of visiting a metal polishing service who were mad scientists in all things metal. I hit it of with the senior polishing specialist and we went on a guided tour of the premises while the business was being done. They dished a 1000mm diametre 25mm Duplex metal and polished it, producing a work for a world renowned artist.
These concave platters were on show at various stages of production, pressed, cleaned and one was a finished item. When it was unveiled the reflection was as memory serves very close to your stacked fisheye images. To be a owner of a circular dish polished to the highest degree bought from the artist and achieve a fisheye reflection would set one back, wait for it £900 000 + a two year waiting list, second ownership is a £million+.
Dr Lens done very well, wheres my cheque book.

You get a really nice toy, Jakov!

One question: when you stitch the horizontal and vertical images in Photomerge, do you need to rotate one image by 90 degrees prior to the process, or does the software detect the orientation and correct automatically?

Akira, I haven't checked whether Photomerge rotates the image 90º to fit, I rotated it myself.
Thanks :)

JohnG that is a fascinating story. I will sell mine for 9$ :)

Hi Jakov
The artist is Anish Kapoor, I have done a Google search to see if there is a exhibit near you.
He has exhibited in the Koln Skulpturen Park. This is a short walk across the bridge over the river that is close to the
Photokina venue, heading toward Koln Zoo. It is not clear if these Kapoor sculptures are on permanent display.
Beyond that you can now Google his work if you wish, and see how your interesting captures, mirrors the interest in the
             sculpture reflections.
