Riders of the Storm

I shot  this last year - or the year before - and promptly forgot about it. I found it last night while looking for something else; it makes a very nice print.

Super stuff Dave. I like cloud pictures.

Plus the reference to the Dors.

I like it.  Lovely sense of scale between the tiny birds and the big sky.

Thank you, Elsa, Mike and Keith; much appreciated.

Mike - I'm a totally addicted sky-watcher, partly because with our maritime climate we do get superb skies anywhere in the UK, but especially in Scotland where the mountains produce swirling winds and many individual micro-climates.

The Doors? I think we might both be showing our age here.   :-\  ;D

excellent and interesting image all round Peter. Mongo likes the composition and mix of almost mono with colour. The birds in the corner add an additional sense of scale and "direction".

Thanks, Bent and Mongo - it's a little frightening that The Doors had that hit *45* years ago. That really makes me feel old.

Thank, Erik - actually it needed very little pp, just a couple of area-selections and curves applied. I wish it was always that easy!

Yes, let the good times roll - we're only old once!
